V1 Pro doesn't turn on/off with ignition

I had Best Buy hardwire my Rexing V1 Pro in my 2020 Prius Prime. The camera does not turn on when I start the vehicle. With the car off, it comes on if the car is bumped. I can turn the camera on manually, but then I also have to turn it off, because it stays on after I shut down the car. Is this an issue with hybrid/electric vehicles?

Hybrids and EV's can present problems with finding the correct power source, as can cars using CANBUS for electrical circuits. BestBuy has tapped into a fuse or circuit which isn't behaving as expected so they should remedy that for free. Your cam needs powering from a circuit which has power only when the car is being operated, and which goes dead when you turn the car off. You might find more specific info on a Prius forum or suggest that they look there if they can't seem to sort it out.
