The HP F210 is one of the few dashboard cameras from a well known brand. While this might be branded as a Hewlett Packard camera, HP is not the actual manufacturer of this product. It is produced by a Chinese manufacturer that rebrands it for various companies.
One benefit of this camera is that some major retailers are carrying it in the United States and Canada. The camera records 1080p at 30 frames per second and has very good video quality during the day and above average video quality at night. Night quality is slightly worse than the better NT96650+Aptina AR0330 cameras such as the the GT680W, RX300, etc.
The camera is based on the Ambarella iOne processor and Aptina 3135 CMOS sensor. Not much info on the Aptina 3135 sensor is available but the specs look quite similar to the popular Aptina AR0330. If that is the case, this camera is likely not providing true WDR (Wide Dynamic Range).
The camera comes with a G-sensor, GPS and 2.4″ screen. Overall build quality is quite good as well. This is a medium sized camera at 70 x 36 x 31mm but the squarish form factor is not the most discreet. Also the camera comes with a very large mount which makes this camera too noticeable.
Other Models
This camera is sold under the Rollei CarDVR-110 brand as well.
The manufacturer appears to make cameras for the following brand names:
- Abee
- Aiptek
- Blaupunk
- Group 5
- MiVue / Navman
- Panasonic
- Parkcity (Russian)
- Whistler
Known problems
Shaky Video
Due to the large / long mount, the video quality is described as being shaky by some owners. A smaller mount resolves this problem.
Changing Speed Setting
Some owners have a difficult time changing the speed displayed from KPH to MPH. This is setup when you first start the camera. To change it later, you will need to do a factory reset by holding the power button for more than 10 seconds.

Should I Purchase?
Overall, this is a reasonable camera for the price given the video and build quality. If you are looking for a GPS enabled camera this isn’t a bad choice but take a look at the GT68oW or RX300 which are a bit cheaper and slightly better night quality.
We are not fans of the mount but changing this to a smaller adhesive mount, makes this a better choice. Be aware that HP does not make this camera but rather just some manufacturer in China.
