Hi all,

Pretty simple question but I can't find an answer to it - does the A229 pro have a small inbuilt battery for parking mode without hardwiring or using an external battery pack?

Cheers

Models from Viofo work great in parking mode from a power bank, but I haven’t checked this with the A229 Pro yet.

What power bank do you usually run? (for other cams, if you use one)
I use an Adata USB powerbank on my A119v3 and on my recently acquired A229 Pro but I am sure that pretty much any other will work. It was in special otherwise I would have chosen an Anker. I also used it when testing various settings and placements for the rear camera. It is 10050 mAh which is enough for my needs (2 hrs max) so I cannot say how long it will run. I use the 12v plug while driving and then switch to the Adata when I want to use parking mode. I recharge the Adata as needed.
