Does anyone here have an airhorn on their car? I used to, it was great fun.

Train horns sound so loud (sound)

Which is probably the point.

Lol they have fun with their air horn

Mind you, you can get electric horns / air horns with their own little compressor, that are A LOT louder than the anemic little horn in my little Suzuki car.
But i will wait with that until i get a new car, where there are no need for MOT the first 4 years, before the biannual inspections set in.

Also i would like to put two LEP lights ( sort of white laser ) where fog lights would be, but this is a not small investment, and would necessitate a bit of DIY work as no one offer LEP lights for cars, though the smart light on some new cars might be LEP type for the emitter.
I just want to be able to send 2 beams 1 - 2 KM ahead of my car, not to blind people even if the laser like beams do spread over significant distances. But more to taunt the many people here that drive with their fog lights on day and night rain or shine

I saw a pic with i assume photoshop, if not someone modded a M134 ( minigun ) into each gull wing door of a tesla.
That was superior stopping power, though not on the Tesla, but any car in the cross hairs would be Swiss cheese in seconds.

BUT ! given the chance to pick up a couple of M79 grenade launchers ( dont even need the nedfangled models ) well i would take that deal if it also included a not unsubstantial number of the grenades.

I once tried to fell a ok sized tree ( dead tree ) about 8 - 9 inch in diameter, using shotgun with slugs, it took more shots then i expected i have to admit.
Was OK though at that time i had so many slugs for shotgun i started making a 12 gauge minigun, that granted i never finished as i had some extraction issues at higher RPM, and you of course want high RPM on a gatling gun style weapon.
Also it was in the end of my apprenticeship, and my next job at the local ship yard, well a too large project to smuggle into the work space, even in the pieces i had to take it apart it to get it out of my job at the railroads.

When i threw it out years later, the guy at the scrap yard did take a #2 look at the barrel assembly, i said dont worry its just a toy mock up, and the guy crushed it and gave me monty to buy a beer or two for the iron.

I have one of those, but horns are very directional, so it is only a lot louder if you are directly in front of it, and since there is nowhere sensible to mount it facing forwards, nobody ever is directly in front of it. It is still a decent volume for a car, but nothing special. Only fitted it because the manufacturer of my car went on an economy drive and deleted one of the standard twin electric "horns", leaving it sounding rather like a little Suzuki! Not a good match for a mid size car.

Don't forget to specify the ejector seat!

I fancy the oil slick dispenser, but I've always thought that was cheating, and rather dangerous!

Since we're in the off topic sub forum and we've already drifted off the topic of air horns, you guys might find this interesting. I certainly did.

The video reveals the details of how they staged and filmed the scenes in the above clip from the movie. The state of the art direction, production values, stunt coordination and foley work are really quite amazing.

I want grenade launchers built into my front and rear bumpers!
I've always felt that rear facing flame throwers would be a fantastic deterrent for tailgaters, just a very short pull on the trigger would get them to back way off. Also would have the added benefit of great visuals.

I think that was the point, especially back in the days of the Sean Connery films.

I've always loved the Bond stories and films. When I was 12 years old I read every Ian Flemming novel I could get my hands on.

I have on DVD (and still watch) every 007 movie made,... and the Connery films were the best even though special effects got better as the franchise aged.

I kind of agree. As a kid who had read the novels before the films came out it was such a thrill to see it all come to life on screen and the special effects were pretty damned cool back then because there was nothing else to compare them to.
And so much of the tech that Q came up with for 007 that seemed unimaginable back then is commonplace today like miniaturized electronics and GPS screen maps.

I remember seeing such a thing in a video or commercial about 10 or 20 years ago by some high end car company no doubt bragging about their R&D into cool technologies. (Maybe more than 20 years because I'm old and forget lots of things.) I think the point of it was for deer avoidance but I could definitely see someone trying to zip down roads with their lights off.

On my first car, and at my apprenticeship i did make a few 100 tire spikes, that could be deployed from a box under the car, but i never finalized that project.
Actually as a kid on my Chopper bike, well the back rest on the seat, i put a small box there with a spring loaded lid, filled with thumb pins so i just had to pull a string to open the lid.
And as proven in this years tour de France too, those little buggers work fine on bicycles.

Agree, but you have to admit the 'Dragon Tank' in Dr. No was pretty lame, even if it did have a flame thrower. ;)
