Hi all !
I'm back here after a long time away
I've recevied an Autovox B40C from Amazon France as a gift in exchange of a review.
I've plugged my A118 GPS Antenna on the B40C but it just says "No GPS".
I've tried to update the firmware with my 20150107 Streetguardian firmware but the updtate does not start. (file name FWB40A.bin)
Next, tried to update with an older firmware (2016) from Autovox, update does not start.
Isn't it possible to flash an older firmware on the Autovox B40C ?
My actual firmware is B40CS.20170516.001
The other issue is that all files are corrupted... the B40C shuts down immediately after unplugging the power cord... looks like capacitors are not connected...
EDIT : disassembled the B40C, capacitors are connected.
There are 2 capacitors 2,7V - 3,3F
Voltage after 5 min of power :
capacitor 1 : 3,1V
capacitor 2 : 2V
Strange...
And after unplug the cord, voltages do not drop and files are still corrupted...
It is like the camera does not use capacitors...
@jokiin do you understand that mistery ?
EDIT² : I have short-circuited both capacitors to empty them.
Now each cap is about 2,5V, but files are still corrupted...
