Boot Delay? Why?

Just curious why a Boot Delay would be desirable? In what circumstances would you want to use a delay?

Some cars cause startup issues because they turn the accessory power off again while you start the engine, with a timing that confuses the dashcam, so it is better to wait a few seconds until the engine is running before booting up. Shouldn't be an issue with a hardwire kit.
