- More than I can review. ;)
This is for Android phones or tablets.
I am using Galaxy Note II with Android version 4.3 for this installation and instruction.
You can install either by,
In the manual there is the app code you can scan to download.
Or,
I went the old fashion way to google store and searched for 'Lukas' that brought way too many apps.
Searching for Lukas Eye phrase is the one you want to search as it brings it to the top:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qrontech.lukas
Click on the app and install it.
If you are on your desktop/laptop, you have to logon to your Google/gmail account to install in your phone/tablet.
Once the app is installed, this is the screen you'll see:
This is where it'll get little tricky.
Only the 'Information' will work if the Lukas LK-7950WD camera is not powered on.
Information: This gives version, firmware etc... information of the app as shown below:
For the SD Card, Settings and LUKAS Connection to work, you have to have the dashcam on with SD and microSD cards, wifi dongle attached and turned on but you have to setup the connection first before you can do anything else.
Plug the provided charger and switch the power button to on.
Note: The dashcam has microUSB, miniUSB and it's own power ports on top so make sure to use the provided charger.
DO NOT USE MICRO USB OR MINI USB CAR or WALL CHARGER TO TEST the camera.
The miniUSB is for rear camera and microUSB is for OBD function, NOT FOR POWER.
Once the dashcam is powered on, press on LUKAS Connection icon.
It'll add a new LUKAS wifi hotspot in your available connections.
Connect to that connection with default 11111111 password:
Once connected, you'll have access to other icons in the app.
Press on SD Card icon to access files in the camera:
You can filter on different types of videos by pressing 'Front', 'Rear', 'Always', 'Event', 'Motion Detection'.
Press on the video file to play and press the down arrow next to file size to download a copy to your phone.
The icons with half front and rear of the car on the top red bar is to live stream video from front and rear camera.
I'll have to use it tomorrow morning to setup location for my rear camera so I can avoid heating elements from being directly in the view.
Playing a test front video file: in the garage so not much to see except holes in the drywall.
Playing a test rear video file: it's on the rear seat, not attached yet. Waiting for daylight.
More settings to follow after I get a nap...
