10Hz GPS on Mini 0803

I'm wondering if it would be possible to replace the GPS module in the 0803 with a 10Hz module? I have one that will phisically fit inside the 0803's base. My question is whether the camera will actually use the faster refresh GPS? Will it recognize it?

If the chip isn't in the firmware it's doubtful it would be compatible as it will be coded for a specific module.

Even if it did work it would still only be logging a 1hz

There will be a DOD LS460W Champion SP1 which has 10Hz logging and inertial sensors for measuring acceleration.

DOD are big on marketing spiel, I'd wait and see some results before getting too excited about anything they announce
