70mai M500 / X200 / A810, Vantrue N4 Pro, Viofo A139 Pro
Hi everybody. I became the proud owner of two 4k flagships: 70mai A810 and Viofo A139 PRO
And I decided to make a comparison of them, there will be a lot of text, pictures and video examples. Starting)

Front camera (main device).
Specifications and Settings:

  • 70mai A810:
    • Processor/Image sensor: Novatek NT98529 + Sony IMX678
    • Overview: 150°
    • firmware 1.0.51ww
    • resolution 3840x2160 (30fps)
    • HDR enabled
    • CPL no
  • Viofo A139 PRO:
    • Processor/Image sensor: Novatek NT96687 + Sony IMX678
    • Overview: 140°
    • firmware 1.1_0615
    • resolution 3840x2160 (30fps)
    • HDR enabled
    • CPL no
    • Bitrate: Normal
    • Exposure: +0.0
  1. Day. The sun is behind.
Everything is fine here for both models, a clear picture. At 70mai, you can notice a brighter blue sky:

  2. Day. The sun in the forehead.
Not everything is so clear here, pay attention to the sky and reading the numbers up close. At Viofo, the oncoming numbers are worse to read from a close distance in the sun.

If anyone thinks that I chose such an "unsuccessful" frame on purpose, then look at the originals of the video and rewind frame by frame (the timecode is indicated on the stack frame):

The Suzuki number is not readable on Viofo, you can make out a little on 70mai:

  3. Day. Cloudy.

4. Night. Unlit highway.
In general, both models coped with reading the counter numbers, if the number is not read by one DVR, then the other does not see it either. But at Viofo, the number itself is more clearly visible, although at 70mai, you can also read the characters. The overall picture of 70mai is lighter, visible by the contours of trees, clouds and the horizon:

Rear camera.

Features and settings:
The rear window is tinted with a film with a light transmittance of 5%!

  • 70mai A810:
    • Image Sensor: SmartSens SC200AI (2MP)
    • Overview: 130°
    • resolution 1920x1080 (25fps)
    • CPL no
  • Viofo A139 PRO:
    • Image Sensor: Sony Starvis IMX291 (2MP)
    • Overview: 170°
    • resolution 1920x1080 (30fps)
    • CPL no

  1. Day. Sunny.
The difference between video sensors is very visible, Viofo has a clearer image with a Sony sensor, but both cameras coped with reading the rear car numbers through tinting. The 70mai has noticeable HDR work in the sky:

    R_810_3.jpgR_139_3.jpg
    R_810_4.jpgR_139_4.jpg
    Original videos (MEGA)

  2. Night. Unlit highway.
At night, everything is sad, only a dark spot from the headlights is visible.

  3. Night. City.
In the night city, the rooms are visible only at rest. Everything blurs in motion. The overall picture shows how the HDR of the 70mai on the rear camera works:

    R_810_7.jpgR_139_7.jpg

That's all, I won't draw any conclusions, watch the originals of the video yourself and choose. All videos are available in MEGA

According to subjective opinion, video is the same, each model has advantages and disadvantages under certain conditions, decide for yourself and look at the price ($99.99 vs €271.94). And do not forget about other characteristics and advantages of the models:

70mai A810: the presence of a screen, a wider angle of the front camera, the price is lower than that of Viofo.
Viofo A139 PRO: WiFi 5GHz, the ability to connect a third internal camera, a wider angle of the rear camera.

P.S. About the heating... not a single registrar was turned off, although the heat is +30, he did not take it out of the car on purpose and left it in the sun for a long time. Everything worked normally. Perhaps more time is needed.

It is impossible
Impossible, why?
Is there a reason?

it is interchangeable in the A800 era

BTW, Which of the following models do you recommend?
70mai M500 / X200 / A810, Vantrue N4 Pro, Viofo A139 Pro

I do consider rear cameras secondary, though i would not be without one, it is a bit sad 70mai use such cheap sensors in the back

You are right.
The quality of the 70mai rear sensors is very poor.

Because each device has a unique identifier. With it, you register the A810 in the 70mai application. Even if you install the international firmware on the Chinese version, you will not be able to add it to the 70mai app.

These are different devices. How can a 2MP PTZ camera X200 be compared to a 4k A810? Do you need a 360 degree rotation? Internal memory in the M500 without a memory card? What about the recording at the back? How much are you willing to spend? There are a lot of questions and you have provided little information.
