A problem with the power of A129 plus duo

I have to plug it off then on in order to switch the power on
 
What are you using to provide the power?

Does it work OK with the original Viofo power adaptor?

AND the Viofo USB cable?

Try powering the camera in your house with the supplied short USB cable and a USB wall charger that supplies at least 1A. Don't use your computers USB ports.
