Hey All,
I recently installed my A229 Pro, but the USB C cable to the rear camera is just slightly too short. Since the car has a hatch, I had to route it through a rubber grommet that leads to the rear windshield. I had to use the grommet on the right in my particular car, because the left grommet was too packed. Although I was able to connect it, there is a lot of pressure on the connector and cable end, since there was basically no slack at all. Trying to figure out the best way to handle this, since I assume Viofo doesn't make a longer cable (?)
I see that the USB C to C extension cables would be potentially dangerous, and not comply with USB standards. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of any proper ways I can go about extending the cable. I was considering a USB C hub or going from C to A adapter, then connect an A to C cable to that. Don't know how acceptable the latter method is though. I assume the rear camera isn't drawing a ton of power, but couldn't find the spec for it.
Thanks in advance
