1) It was very easy to installed this Vantrue N4 Pro.
I bought the hardwire kit on Amazon to install with the dashcam.
I installed the magnetic-assist mount with a GPS module directly to the windshield glass without using one of the provided electrostatic stickers.
I believe doing this way, the Front and Cabin camera should never fall down even on very hot Summer days in California.
I currently had 5 dash cams for more than 3-4 years and none of them fall down yet.

2) To remove the Front & Cabin camera from the magnetic-assist mount with GPS module, I hold on it and pull it toward me. It's very easy.
I live in a gated apartment complex so I do not need to remove it at night.

3) This is the view from inside my SUV car.
I tried to install the Front & Cabin camera as close as possible to my car rear mirror so it does not block my view.
With the magnetic-assist mount with GPS module, I can adjust the Front & Cabin camera lens pointing up, down, left, or right easily.
Some other dash cams only allow you to adjust the lens up or down.

6) View of the Front & Cabin camera from the front.
It's close to the rear mirror base so it's barely visible from the front.

7) View of the rear camera from inside the car.
Since I installed the rear camera cable to the left, I had to choose to rotate its image in the setting.

8) Since my car is an SUV, I ran the rear camera cable from the Front & Cabin camera along the side of the car to the back and through the brake light hose on the left.
I ran the cable behind and below the airbags so it's safe in case these airbags deploy.

10) I want to use the low bitrate parking mode so I bought a hardwire kit from Amazon.com
I like this Vantrue hardwire kit since I do not need to use any tool beside the screw driver to install the ground cable to the car.
I do not need to use a plier to clamp the red/yellow cables to the fuse-tap cables.
This hardwire kit only has the cutoff voltage below 12V or 11.6V.

Jeff_Vanture is very kind to send me this Vantrue N4 Pro 3-channel dashcam for review.

5 sec with the latest firmware is possible.

Downside with vantrue low bitrate parking guard is it also add low framerate, i assume to make memory used even lower, i would however prefer a full 24 / 30 FPS low bitrate with sound, which i assume the low bitrate +low FPS do not have.

Thanks for the detailed write up. How is the parking mode ?
Does it still take 12 seconds to wake up in impact detection mode
I'm sorry I do not use Collision Detection parking mode so I do not know.
I use low bitrate (1080P 15FPS) parking mode so the camera records continuously until the voltage reaches 12V.
My hardwire kit only has 12V (24V) or 11.6V (23.2V) options so I set it to 12V.

In your case, how long do you get before you lose parking mode because the voltage has dropped to 12V?

It's around 2 hours before the hardwire cuts off the power to the camera.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think this can be improved in software in the future or it could be hardware related ?
I personally think its a software issue and can be fixed.

Depends on the chipset they use I think. I saw the Thinkware U3000 can start recording after 1 sec. We can only hope...
