Is the GOPRO Worth the money?

Crop in to get the EIS, but a necessary evil and worth the trade off IMHO
Here is the same camera (Sony HDR-AS200V) with EIS Off.
When you disable the EIS it gives you the full 170° FOV.

Of course but I'd rather take EIS any day :)

It depends on the type of shot you're trying to get.
99% of all my YouTube videos are filmed with 120° FOV EIS on.
But sometimes I need a wide shot, and switch to 170° FOV EIS off.

Here's a 120° FOV EIS on example;

Choice of music is questionable xD

@safedrivesolutions
Back in 2015 this Sony was the cat's meow.
1080P 60fps @ 50Mbps
EIS
Carl Zeiss Lens

In 2018 4K60 was the standard.
I tried the GoPro 7 or 8 something.
The image quality was amazing.
However, it could only record at 4K60 for 5 minutes before it overheated, stopped recording, and locked up.
The next problem was I used the same head mount in your photo, and every time I moved my head the camera flopped up / down like it was going to fall off.
I was terrified of it falling off my head while I'm bending, and stooping around my car.
It also introduced a lot of shakiness into the footage, EIS was no use.
These box style cameras just do not work for head mounted applications for working on cars.
That's why I looked at the Ordro EP8, but its 1, or 2 generations from being any good.

DJI return label created. Ordered a GOPRO Hero 12 to play with. The unit is way to blurry. Hopefully the Go Pro does better.

if it could adapt to all the mounts i need it would be great
As well as having a focus mechanism, so that it isn't blurry, adaptors are avaiable for GoPro mount (horizontal and vertical), Tripod Mount (horizontal and vertical), Hotshoe Mount...

It does.
If the GoPro 12 doesn't work out, why not throw the dice on this?
I will find out tonight. The DJI kind of screwed my video i was producing. Now i have to re record it later.
