VIOFO A229 Plus FIRMWARE

If you have not installed a hardwire kit, the camera will only switch from parking mode to driving mode when the GPS speed is above 8km/h. If you have disabled the GPS in parking mode in the settings, then the GPS cannot detect the speed of your car and the camera cannot change recording modes. The A229Plus/ Pro will not lock all the videos in AED parking mode, do you mean that it keeps recording in this mode? Please set the Parking Motion Detection to Low Sensitivity to test. If your car is parked in a busy area, we really suggest using time-lapse or low-bitrate parking mode.
About the impact sensor, there will be no beeps or voice notifications when it locks a video in parking mode as designed, could you please check if there are videos under RO files?
Yes we can confirm from a customer has Viofo A229 Plus and a lot of videos are locking in auto event detection mode for no reason, and there is no impact either.

You can suggest him open a ticket so we can provide further help. The A229Plus will not lock all the videos in AED mode as designed unless the G-sensor is triggered. Here is a testing video for confirmation: https://we.tl/t-9tfZyBFyNa

These are our customers and we provide full customer service to them. We also installed these products for them. We have a Viofo A229 pro and a A229 Plus that we have seen do this on AED. I appreciate your video but that is not what we are seeing on AED while parked. We have 2 accounts for this happening and the person who posted on here has said same thing.

Just installed my A229 Plus as well. Not sure which is the most stable firmware to be dailying currently?

That being said, is the latest firmware the best daily firmware or are there issues known with it? Sorry for the confusion
Firmware is released with improvements and elimination of identified deficiencies.
Therefore, the latest firmware should always be the best.

Poor rating on both iOS and Android apps :(

All dash cam APPs are poorly rated.
The folks that leave 1 star reviews of dash cam APPs are the same ones who don’t understand the difference between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode, Cellular Data, and how to configure their smartphone.
Gene Wilder would call these folks, “People of the land”. Lol
