The problem is still there, I just gave up on it. I let the camera reformat monthly and it's not a problem as long as I don't put the card in the computer. The problem will be if I ever want to stitch or otherwise edit the video files, it won't let me.

I had another read of your problem and honestly I think it is related directly to dashcam viewer.
If windows explorer is reporting back correct information and " Mediainfo link " then it points to dashcam viewer.
Perhaps @traveler would like to chip in. (He represents(Wrote?) Dashcam Viewer.)
