I don’t know what you mean WiFi 2.4 or 5.8ghz? I just turn WiFi on on my iPhone, turn the WiFi mode on camera ,open the viofo app. Doesn’t mention what ghz of WiFi or anything . I use iPhone 11 Pro with latest iOS . Not only I can’t play black videos on my iPhone sometimes the live view doesn’t come on as well. The WiFi app has horrible reviews. So I guess it is their app that is bad not the camera itself? It could be you would have to DL the clip to your phone first, though i have seen other cameras being able to stream from the camera to the phone.
Maybe if there is a option in the camera to select wifi between 2.4 GHZ and 5.8 GHZ and you being on 2.4 GHZ
I assume you are connected to the camera alright, just the playback part that are messing up.
TBH i haven't tried playing a file on the A139 viofo camera i am testing, ill give that a try later today.
Could also be a glitch that have sneaked in when viofo tailored the APP for use with the A139 model thats the new one, or one of them at least.
O almost forgot it could also be a issue with a missing codec or something on your apple phone, it seem those always have a extra hoop or two to jump thru.
Would be interested in seeing the error MSG.
Haven’t tried yet even if it works on a computer it still is meaningless since I won’t carry computer around to show proof of the recorded videos when I need to. Should be from the phoneHave you tried playing the card directly in a computer? That would be my first step.

What happens if you press the download button in the top right of the screen and save the clip to your phone?Haven’t tried yet even if it works on a computer it still is meaningless since I won’t carry computer around to show proof of the recorded videos when I need to. Should be from the phone

With the a139, I find I stop it recording while using the app but it restarts itself which then makes the app struggle, check the camera isn’t recording when you try to view.
The Wi-fi 2.4 or 5GHz should be an option in settings that you can sele
That I really don’t know since I have bunch of recorded clips that I see on the app on my iPhone and I wasn’t able to watch any of them. I tried many clips and all says failed to load . Just an example belowI was wondering are the issue there with both front and rear camera footage ?
With the A139 and using 5GHz Wi-fi on an iPhone 11, I find the 1 min videos download to my phone in a matter of seconds. Have you tried switching the Wi-fi to 5?If I download the file first on my iPhone it can take some time cos files can be large . I thought I could just view the recorded clips without having to download files on my iPhone to clog my phone memory space. I used to have anker brand dashcam called Roav by on my previous old car and it looked very similar to what I have now and I could easily view files on my phone with their app without having to download files on my iPhone. The only problem was that it was a battery dashcam not capacitor so I didn’t install it back on my new car.
